Letter from President Sarah Silva

Dear residents and families,

After 26 years of serving seniors and their families, we’re thrilled to announce a monumental organizational change. We have forged a new direction as our own independent company, spinning off from Avamere Health Services.

Our independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities now operate under Arete Living (är-ā-tai). Our managed locations include Avamere Communities, Ovation, and The Stafford.

Your community name and leadership will remain the same, unchanging with this transition. We have a strong, dedicated group of leaders and team members across our communities, and I’m thankful to have them serving our residents each day.

This incredible change to Arete Living allows us to devote an even stronger focus on senior living and meeting seniors’ and their families’ needs. Becoming a self-governed, independent company allows our leaders to make strategic decisions more efficiently, offering the opportunity to expand in the everchanging senior living market.

Arete Living is a fresh, modern perspective on senior living, with personalized services and increased choices. Arete means excellence in Greek, and we honor this meaning with intensified focus on senior living and expanding our senior living services to better meet our residents’ needs and desires.

I am honored to lead this company though this exciting transition alongside a strong team of dedicated leaders and team members. I have served as division president of Avamere’s senior living division since 2018 and look forward to continuing to live our mission “to enhance the live of every person we serve.”
