Miss Major Griffin-Gracy

Miss Major is a transgender activist who has fought for over 50 years for the transgender community. She is a veteran of the infamous Stonewall riots. Today she continues her activism into her 80s as an author, docuseries producer, and speaker.
Phyllis Lyon & Del Martin

Phyllis Lyon and Dorothy “Del” Martin were pioneering leaders in the LGBTQIA+ and women’s rights movements. After falling in love in Seattle, they moved to San Francisco and founded the nation’s first lesbian organization, Daughters of Bilitis, in 1955. They married in 2004, but the union was invalidated by the court. They remarried in 2008 as California’s first legal same-sex union.
RuPaul Charles

RuPaul brought drag culture into the mainstream with RuPaul’s Drag Race, creating a global platform for LGBTQIA+ artistry and empowerment. He earned several accolades, including 14 Primetime Emmy Awards. RuPaul is known as the Queen of Drag.
Anne Lister

Anne Lister is known as “the first modern lesbian.” She documented her life, studies, and romantic relationships with women during the early 1800s, a time when such love was taboo. She married Ann Walker in a private ceremony in 1834, documented as the first same-sex marriage in England. Anne lived authentically and fearlessly, and her legacy inspires generations to embrace their true selves.
