Teena has served with the organization since December 2019 when Arete Living was part of Avamere.

She grew up in the small Goonies town of Astoria, Oregon and moved to California in her early 20s to start her career in hospitality. Teena is certified as a Professional in Human Resources with over 20 years of HR experience in various fields. Her passion resides in healthcare.

Teena's experience encompasses employee and labor relations, talent acquisition, compensation, conflict management, and training. She holds a proven track record of coaching in the areas of transformational leadership, communication, team building, and managing change.

Fun fact: Teena's last name is Yugoslavian. She has two daughters in college at Oregon State and New York University and one small Goldendoodle named Noodle. In addition to HR, Teena enjoys people, solving mysteries, sports, family, friends, and of course, Goonies.
