Ken Alexander, LNHA

Regional Director of Operations

Ken Alexander, LNHA, holds over 15 years of leadership experience in the senior living industry. He has served with Arete Living since 2019, based in Spokane, Washington.

Through his career, Ken has obtained deficiency-free surveys in the buildings he managed and maintained a CMS 5-star rating for several consecutive years. He has achieved if not exceeded budgeted expectations at every long-term care community he has led.

Ken’s experience in long-term care goes back to his work as a nursing assistant in a skilled nursing facility in 1991. He was later accepted into a school to pursue physical therapy, but took an opportunity to participate in an administrator-in-training program to earn his nursing home administrator license.
Ken earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Washington State University, graduating with academic honors.

Ken is happily married to his wife Julie. They share a passion for the long-term care industry; she has worked in the field for over 30 years, and they enjoy talking shop together. They have four adult children, eight grandchildren, and a Doberman named Thor who thinks he’s a lapdog, even at 85 pounds. In his free time, Ken enjoys lifting weights and the great outdoors mountain biking, hiking, camping, snowboarding, and skiing.
